The name is Bördübet and is located close to Marmaris. If Sadun Boro's Okluk Bay is a tiny heaven offering beauty and peace, then Bördübet is the adventurous one offering you unspoint coasts and the option to motor upstream aboard your tender.
When you anchor at Bördübet get on your tender (an outboard with a short shaft is necessary and be prepared for some bumps) and slowly make it from the sea into the stream. In the first several hundred meters the stream looks muddy.
Then it will be easier to navigate and some minutes later you will reach Amazon camping. Tie your tender to the tiny pier,
and you can visit Amazon camping for fresh eggs and bread. You can also stay here though the facility lacks luxurious comfort and you will stay in tent sized bungalows...but in a gorgeous setting. This whole area is -luckily- under preservation and all construction is strictly forbidden.

I discovered Bördübet around 1990 on a business trip. We were looking to buy a hotel and were intrigued by one located in Börbübet. It was too small for our needs, almost under 15 rooms, but the description was unique ! This is beautiful, fruitful land that offered the best of nature. When we came to the hotel our surprise was big. One family from Istanbul had moved to Datça after getting sick of city life and the rat race. There they built a very small but unforgettable jewel. The hotel was next to a fresh water stream, had an underground wine cave with small independent very basic bungalow style rooms. It did not offer big views or any luxury but the setting was marvelous. While walking inside the hotel, we saw a big freshwater turtle ! And next to the stream, there were basic boats which took the guests down to the sea ! The concept is that you cruise downcurrent to the beach. There you park the boat and walk 50 meters on the beach and ahoy, you are next to the sea !
I do not know if this hotel is still operational but it was a nice visit. It appears there has been a new addition to Bördübet hotels, the newest member is part of a small boutique hotel chain, Golden Key Bördübet.

Turkey, especially the western coast has lots of wild boars and hunting them is permitted. In January 2011 I saw one wild boar in Torba, Bodrum in the evening, running among the summer houses next to the road. The poor animal was being chased by an Akbaş/Kangal mixture Anatolian shephard dog which was larger than himself ! Normally we see a lot of wild boar tracks on soil as they dig the soil with their noses while looking for some roots. Here is how it looks like :
We saw these in Bademli, even on Garip adası which is pretty far to land so I am assuming wild boar are quite good at swimming. In Bodrum and Gökova area they are very common especially in winters.

Here is a photo showing the crystal clear waters where you can easily see the seabed. The depth is approximately 7 meters including the distance between sea level and the camera.

What is particularly nice about sailing in Turkey is not just the nature but also the climate. Southern Turkey enjoys almost a ten months cruising season. In non-summer months you can also swim but only during noon hours.
